The BRITISH JUNIOR CHAMPION will also be crowned on the Saturday for the junior (under 18) with the lowest 4 round score. All juniors will receive prizes for competing.

PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP AND INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
In the traditional curtain raiser for the British Open, Friday 12th September will see the Players Championships and International Players Championships take place. Players pay to enter (it was £5 last year, will be similar this year ? entry fee to be confirmed) and half the money goes to the winner, the other half goes to a charity of the winners choosing. Steve Gow won last year and the Marie Curie Trust pocketed £85 as a result (the international players also now compete in their version as well). The format is a mixture of strokeplay and matchplay, played out over 3 rounds and is a great warm up for the Open. The competition will kick off at 2pm.
